You've probably heard of words like CoQ 10, Peptides, Glycolic
acid, Collagen fillers or any of the other "scientific" wrinkle busting
skincare terms you are constantly exposed to in advertising.
Wrinkle
creams, serums and lotions contain a wide variety of ingredients
depending on which brand you buy and what they claim works for your
skin.
While it is true that ingredients like A, C, E and K
stimulate collagen production and smooth skin, they aren't hidden away
in some vault that only skin care scientists have access to.
Many
of these complex sounding "beneficial active wrinkle defying"
ingredients that you expect to pay good money for in skin care ranges,
may have been given fancy commercial names for added "marketability",
but are in fact readily available in their natural concentrated form in
fruits, vegetables, base and essential oils.
Most of these
ingredients are in fact a derivative of a naturally occurring vitamin,
mineral, peptide or enzyme that is either manufactured in it's cheaper
synthetic form or extracted from a natural source.
Chemical ingredients vs natural ingredients:
Skin
care products contain ingredients including emollients, humectants,
stabilisers, fragrance and preservatives which form the base of a
product that "active" ingredients are added to. Some are chemical based
with potential side effects like irritation and sekin sebum production
imbalances.
Emollients are an example of a common ingredient.
These bind liquid and oils together and help to lock in moisture. An
example of an emollient might be petroleum or some natural products
contain naturally derived beeswax.
Humectants are another commonly
used ingredient, these draw moisture from the air. Propylene glycol is a
popular chemical humectant, so is honey, aloe vera, castor oil and
glycerin. Many oils like Jojoba oil (actually a plant wax) is a natural
emollient and highly benefical when used with other oils.
Many
people have sensitivities to synthetic ingredients and don't even know
it. Some signs of flaking, ageing and dehydration are a symptom of skin
sensitivity that can easily be corrected using natural alternatives to
chemical ingredients.
Why use natural wrinkle remedies for getting rid of wrinkles?
Cost:
Natural ingredients are much cheaper to buy and use. Most ingredients
are available from your local grocery store or are already in your home.
Freshness:
You've probably heard the saying "fresh is best". Well the same applies
to skin care ingredients. The highest concentrations of vitamins
including A, C, E and K or enzymes are in fresh almost overripe fruits
that you can use to enhance your skin. Fruits like papaya and pineapple
also contain papain, a protein dissolving stimulating enzyme.
Your skin specific:
No one has the same skin - so why use a product that may not suit you.
Making your own skin care recipes means you can add all of the
ingredients that are best for your skin type and condition.
Essential oils to get rid of wrinkles:
Essential
oils contain some of the most potent concentrations of benefical
nutrients for skin. You can make numerous serums to moisturize, balance,
regenerate and rejuvenate skin.
Use them every day and your skin will look and feel softer, smoother and more radiant!
Here are the top essential oils for wrinkles:

Using oils like rose oil and rosehip oil on a regular
basis will rehydrate dry skin, others reduce red veins and pores or can
help with other skin issues, but today I am going to share with you my
favorite wrinkle recipe.
Here is my favourite of all my natural
wrinkle remedies. It is a very potent effective recipe which will
exfoliate skin, stimulate cell growth and collagen production and smooth
skin.
Best serum recipe for getting rid of wrinkles around eyes or mouth:
Ingredients:
8 tablespoons wheat germ oil (or almond oil)
2 drops each of Frankincense or Fennel oil. (Can just use frankincense).
5 drops carrot seed oil
3 drops avocado oil
10 drops rose hip oil
5 drops borage (starflower) oil
Wheatgerm oil increases collagen production and is also reputed to repair your DNA.
Carrot
seed oil contains vitamin C, and A, both excellent for anti-aging. The
other oils stimulate collagen production and cell renewal.
Instructions:
Blend
these oils together well. Apply twice daily for ten days and then every
few days as required. A blend of this oil will last a very long time,
you only need a tiny amount around effected areas. Applied daily over
ten days, you should see a big difference in the reduction of fine lines
and wrinkles.
Store blend in a glass dropper bottle out of direct sunlight.
Ten Day In Between Papaya Or Pineapple Wrinkle Mask:
Apply
mashed papaya, pineapple, kiwifruit or canteloupe to wrinkles areas for
ten minutes every day. Wash off after no more than ten minutes as the
enzymes in these fruits are very strong. This will also help to
exfoliate and stimulate skin. You can also add some honey and molasses
to this mask for extra nourishiment followed by the serum. Do this for
ten days and then use weekly or as desired.
The oil blend is a
recipe with many ingredients, there are many simpler recipes you can
make but this is my pick for the most potent and effective recipe for
wrinkles around your eyes and mouth especially.
If you are worried
about buying these oils, there are alternatives but you will be happy
to know that many of these oils can be used for a multitude of other
purposes medicinally and even for household cleaning. You only need a
small amount of these oils as they last a very long time.
